    a.k.a. Silvermoon Art

    COSPLAY COMPETITION JUDGE

SilverMoon Art is a Michigan based artist and Master Level cosplayer with a deep-seated love for fantasy. They have participated in a wide array of costuming competitions both as a contestant and a judge. They specialize in texture painting, prop building, and really enjoy working on detail work to make their cosplays come to life. SilverMoon Art has won awards for craftsmanship and performance, most notably for their Jareth the Goblin King from Labyrinth and Link from Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Along with these characters, SilverMoon Art is best known for their Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as well as the Netflix version, Death from Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle, and InuYasha.

  • AMHCosplays

    COSPLAY COMPETITION HOST

As a Halloween baby, AMHCosplays has had a lifelong passion for costuming. She made the jump to cosplaying in high school with a homemade Star Trek uniform and hasn’t looked back. Today, four different Star Trek uniforms are among the more than 160 active cosplays she wears for cons, photo shoots, community events, and charity. AMHCosplays has won awards for both performance and craftsmanship and, while she enjoys creating her own cosplays, she also loves the challenge of thrifting the components needed to build a cosplay. As the founder of the Cosplay Over 40 community, AMHCosplays strongly believes that cosplay is for everyone and that age is just a number. She can’t wait to see all the awesome cosplayers attending LTUX this April!

  • Shockolate Energy

    COSPLAY COMPETITION JUDGE

When Shockolate Energy was little she saw shows such as Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, Card Captors, and Digimon, just to name a few. She loved how they dressed and always wanted to fight for justice. In the next coming years, she started reading manga and wanted to dress as anime characters.

Shockolate started cosplaying in 2009 and hasn't looked back since. Shockolate is a plus size cosplayer, a firm believer, an advocate for cosplay equality, as well as spreading positive vibes throughout the community. She has also started a project called #cosplaycompliment that encourages cosplayers to feel awesome in cosplay.

Shockolate has been to over 50+ conventions and has done over 60 different cosplays over the years and has learned how to use patterns, sewing, crafting, and prop making with the power of coupons to her advantage! One of the main focuses Shockolate has been implementing over the past couple of years is “giving back to the community that gave to her” when she started cosplaying. By doing so she has given away tools and taught essential things that many up-and-coming cosplayers need to start cosplaying!

  • Kira Elric

    COSPLAY COMPETITON JUDGE

Kira Elric, is a long time cosplayer of 18 years having started cosplay back in 2005! It's a life's passion at this point and Kira loves to not just create the costumes for the characters he loves but also teach others the process of doing so. Kira has won multiple awards for his craftsmanship and performances, including two best of show awards. Kira adores the challenge of bringing the characters he adores to life but he also loves the way he can reach people who love them too. Cosplay is a community experience to him and he loves to joke and play around in character with the people around him if only because of the way they laugh and smile when he does. Cosplay hasn't just changed his life but he's used it to change others as well. Through cosplay he's made so many friends and connections and he cannot wait to see all of you at LTUX in April.
